Phil Barnhart, Web Architect/IT Director
Phillip Barnhart has led in the development of
cutting-edge web content management, personalization,
and one-to-one marketing for fifteen years. After
pioneering web-based training and support at Ford
Motor Company in the mid-nineties, he went on
to lead training and enterprise personalization
at Internet pioneer Vignette. After leading over
100 Vignette customers such as iVillage, Hoovers,
theStreet.com, Travelocity, Bank One, BSkyB, INET
Bridge (South Africa), and Telecom New Zealand
into implementing their first content management
systems, Phillip pioneered many of the personalization
and customization strategies still used for implicit
and explicit personalization strategies at the
enterprise level.
After leaving Vignette, Phillip adapted open-source
solutions for the enterprise and growth business
markets. He led open-source LAMP (Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP)
implementations for web solutions for organization
such as Symbol Technologies (now Motorola), AMD,
United Heritage Credit Union, and Green Mountain
Energy. He developed key technology solutions
for social media link tracking used in Twitter,
Facebook, and LinkedIn. At Special Audience Marketing,
Phillip specializes in integrating open-source
content management software with social networking,
pay-per-click, and organic search engine optimization
solutions.
