Support Group
The Alzheimer's Association, Greater Austin Chapter, cosponsors
this support group for families and caregivers of people with Alzheimer's
disease or other related disorders.
Bipolar
Disorder Support Group
This group focuses on issues of individuals and family members involved
in managing ongoing mood illnesses. A psychiatrist is the advisor
to the group, and the format is a brief educational presentation
followed by informal group discussion.
Chronic
Illness Support Group
This group is for persons with chronic illnesses who need to share
their concerns and to relate with others in similar situations.
Connected
Hearts Support Group (Heart Disease)
Designed as a forum for heart patients and their loved ones, the
goal of this cardiac support group is to provide education and support
to people affected by heart disease
Diabetes
Support Group
This group is designed to provide education and support for diabetic
patients and their families. Join us in learning about healthy lifestyle
changes.
Dialogue
Support Group (Cancer)
Co-sponsored by the American Cancer Society, this support group
is designed to help patients, their families, and friends better
understand and learn to live with cancer.

Georgetown Healthcare System-South Pavilion Conference Center Fibromyalgia
syndrome is a common form of generalized muscular pain and fatigue.
The diagnosis depends mostly on a person's complaints and feelings
rather than physical or laboratory findings. This support and education
group is open to anyone who suffers from Fibromyalgia or Arthritis.
Grief
Support Group
The survivors are the ones who must deal with the pain of death
and with the conflicting feelings loss creates. This group is for
persons who have lost loved ones and must learn to accept death
and live through it.
Stroke
Support Group
Many individuals and their loved ones are affected by stroke. This
group meets to provide education and mutual support for those persons.
Widows
Support Group
The objective of this group is to assist those who are traveling
through the valley of grief to step forward into a new life. Join
women who have experienced the loss of their spouse and are now
able to offer support to others.
