Seton OnCall is a personal emergency response system, which
is available from Seton Home Medical Equipment on a rental or purchase
basis. This medical alert system has been designed to call for assistance
in the event of a medical emergency. In an emergency, you simply
press a button conveniently located on a pendant, on a belt, or
carried in a pocket. The alert signal sends a team into action,
which verifies the emergency, checks personal medical data and calls
the appropriate response agency and contact personnel.

CARE HOME HEALTH AIDE SERVICES
Home health aides may provide personal and custodial care, as well
as companionship for clients in the home setting. Services include

LAKES HOME HEALTH
Seton Highland Lakes Home Health is a program offering a skilled,
compassionate team of healthcare professionals to provide care
for you in your home. In addition to providing the care you
need at home, their nurses and other professionals will provide
instruction for you and your family for manly procedures. Care is
supervised by your physician and the staff continuously coordinates
your health program with you and your physician to promote, restore
and maintain your health at its maximum.
Home health services are available to anyone who is recovering from
injury, illness or surgery and requires further physician-directed
nursing, therapy or related medical care at home. Home Health patients
must be essentially homebound or mobility-impaired and meet related
Medicare criteria to qualify for Medicare or Medicaid insurance.
*Professional
Nursing Care Skilled nursing for procedures ordered by the physician
and required by the patient's condition; instruction to the patient
and family for care in the home environment. All nurses are trained
to administer intravenous therapy in the home should it be ordered
by the physician.
*Home Health Aide Assistance with personal care, specific
treatments as ordered by the physician, exercise regimen and maintenance
of a clean, healthful environment under supervision of a registered
nurse.
*Respiratory Therapy Instruction and counseling regarding
proper medical use of respiratory therapy equipment in the home
and safety precautions during the use of oxygen.
*Physical Therapy Instruction and administration of exercises
and treatments to help patients regain strength, mobility and coordination.
*Speech therapy Rehabilitative services for the correction
or improvement of speech and language deficits.
*Medical Social Services A social worker is available to
assist the patient and family with problems related to the illness
or injury and to coordinate community resources, which may be needed.
*Occupational Therapy Assistance in restoring the ability
to groom, dress and feed oneself. Vocational skills recreational
skills and homemaking skills.
*Medical Supplies Acquisition of needed medical supplies
such as sterile dressings, catheters, feeding tubes intravenous
fluids, oxygen and others.
*Medical Equipment Assistance in rental or purchase of needed
medical equipment, such as hospital beds, side-rails, air pressure
mattresses, trapeze bars, wheelchairs, commode chairs, walkers and
many other items.
*Nutritional therapy Provide teaching and guidance for patients
with dietary problems or those requiring special diets.

SETON HIGHLAND
LAKES HOSPICE
Seton Highland Lakes Hospice is a full-service provider delivering
care primarily in the familiar surroundings of a patient's own home.
Residents of nursing homes and group homes are eligible. The patient
continues under the care of his or her own physician while in the
Hospice program. The physician and other Hospice team members develop
an individual plan of care with the patient's participation.
Seton Highland Lakes Hospice is state licenses, certified
by Medicare and Medicaid, and a member of the National Hospice Organization
and the Texas Hospice Organization, and is JCAHO accredited.
Seton Highland Lakes provides services to Blanco, Burnet,
Lampasas, Llano, Gillespie, Travis and Williamson counties.
