Will Godwin
VP, Research and Planning

Will has been an integral part of SAM for more than 15 years. He brings a research, public affairs and public policy analysis background to the SAM project team.

Before joining SAM in 1990 as VP, his experience included directing the Planning and Evaluation Office at the Texas Department of Agriculture and serving as an Executive Assistant to a Public Utility Commissioner. Prior to that, Will worked with a planning and management consultant in Austin. He also served a four-year term on the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust. He has a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and a M.A. in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs, University of Texas at Austin.
